RMLD Hosts Home Energy Assessment Webinar on January 18
The Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) and its contractor, Energy New England partnered to present a webinar to educate the public about free home energy assessments on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 7:00 pm. Click here to see the recording.
RMLD offers no-cost home energy assessments to residential customers who are interested in implementing energy efficiency and conservation measures. The RMLD's Home Energy Assessment program is administered through Energy New England.
The Energy Advisor conducts a thorough walk-through of your home, beginning with the outside. Your energy advisor will input information into its energy-efficiency software and will use a thermo-imaging camera to identify air leaks. Your Energy Advisor will assess and discuss potential energy savings linked to:
- Insulation
- Appliances
- Heating/cooling
- Water heating
- Efficient lighting
- Windows and door weather-stripping
- Window and door replacement
Participating customers will receive a Home Energy Assessment Report that analyzes your home’s energy usage, identifies home improvement projects that can lower your energy costs, and links to RMLD’s rebates and incentives.
