RMLD’s Annual Electric Car Show the Largest so Far

Wilmington, MA – The Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) is pleased to announce the success of its recent Electric Car Show, which featured over 20 enthusiastic electric vehicle (EV) owners, who showcased a remarkable lineup of models from industry leaders such as Tesla, Rivian, Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Hyundai, and Kia. The event was held at the Wilmington Farmers Market and drew the largest crowd to date, reaffirming the growing interest in and demand for electric vehicles within the community.

The Electric Car Show, organized by RMLD in collaboration with the town of Wilmington and the Wilmington Farmer’s Market, aimed to educate and engage the public on the benefits of electric mobility while offering a platform for both new and experienced EV owners to share their experiences and insights. The event also featured the participation of Eco Auto, a local used electric car dealer, who showed that there are enticing electrified options for used car buyers while also showcasing their portfolio of electric vehicle charging solutions.

The highlight of the event was a spectacular display of electric vehicles, ranging from sleek sedans to versatile SUVs and capable trucks, showcasing the latest advancements in EV technology and design. The exhibitors, passionate about their electric vehicles, fielded numerous questions from attendees on important topics such as home charging solutions and battery range, helping to demystify the transition to electric vehicle ownership.
