VIRTUAL Public Power Week 2020

October 4-10, 2020

Public Power Week is an annual event celebrated by not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities such as RMLD. Public power utilities take pride in providing safe, reliable, and affordable elpublic power week 2020ectricity to the local community.

In years past, RMLD has invited customers to an open house at its Ash Street Facility to meet the staff and enjoy fun, educational activities. This year, due to the pandemic, Public Power Week is going VIRTUAL! While it's not the same as being together, we hope that you and your family will enjoy these online resources and activities commemorating Public Power Week! 


For the Kids

Virtual Storytime about Electricity!
(appropriate for preschool-aged children)

RMLD has partnered with the libraries in Reading, North Reading, and Wilmington to bring your young children a virtual storytime about electricity!

Kids Experiment Activity
(appropriate for children ages 6-12)

Complete an at-home experiment with your child, submit a picture of the experiment, and we'll mail your child an RMLD goodie bag! 


For the Whole Family

Capture and upload all of the pictures on RMLD's photo scavenger hunt list and be entered into a raffle to win a Nest Thermostat!
