The Commercial Lighting Retrofit Rebate Program is sunsetting on July 1, 2021, and will be replaced by a commercial lighting controls focused rebate program. This change is to reflect evolving technology and industry standards. Details on the new lighting controls program, including a launch date, will be announced as soon as they are available.

MLP Solar Rebate Program:

RMLD has partnered with the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) to offer customers a limited-time rebate for the installation of solar systems that are 25 kilowatts (kW) or less in size. The amount of the rebate will be based on the size of the system installed, and equates to $1.20 per watt. Rebates are not to exceed 50% of the total installed costs of the system and are capped at a maximum of $30,000. Qualifying conditions such as access to direct sunlight should be considered and are specified in the program’s technical requirements.

DOER extended the program so applications can now be submitted through 6/30/2021, and all projects must be completed by 6/30/2022. Customers who installed systems with an operation date of November 27, 2018 or later may apply for the rebate.

Please visit RMLD's Solar Guide for more information on the program and application process.
