Commercial Energy Initiative Rebate Program
The Energy Initiative Rebate Program is for commercial, industrial, and municipal customers who reduce energy consumption by replacing large high-energy consuming equipment such as chillers, conveyors, industrial ovens, etc., with ENERGY STAR rated or other energy efficient equipment. Please contact RMLD to find out if your business is eligible for this rebate. Customers must work with RMLD to document how the proposed changes will generate power, reduce peak load, and/or reduce overall monthly energy consumption to qualify. This incentive is capped at a maximum of 50% of a specific project’s cost and has a limit of $50,000 per year.
MLP Solar Rebate Program
RMLD has partnered with the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) to offer customers a limited time rebate for the installation of solar systems that are 25 kilowatts (kW) or less in size. The amount of the rebate will be based on the size of the system installed, and equates to $1.20 per watt. Rebates are not to exceed 50% of the total installed costs of the system and are capped at a maximum of $30,000. Qualifying conditions such as access to direct sunlight should be considered and are specified in the program’s technical requirements.
The Program is effective through June 30, 2020 or until funding allocated for RMLD customers runs out, whichever comes first. Customers who installed systems with an operation date of November 27, 2018 or later may apply for the rebate. Please visit RMLD's Solar Guide for more information on the program and application process.
