The Community Relations Department strives to keep RMLD customers abreast of local happenings, legislative news that may affect your service or rates, outage information, educational opportunities, upcoming RMLD events, safety and conservation tips and information about public power utilities through the media, newsletters, brochures and public reports.

RMLD press releases are sent to seven local papers – Reading Chronicle, Reading Advocate, North Reading Transcript, Lynnfield Villager, Peabody Lynnfield News, Wilmington Advocate and the Wilmington Town Crier. All these newspapers are published weekly, except the Reading Chronicle, a daily paper.

Press releases are also sent to the Boston Globe and appear in the NorthWest sections on Thursdays and Sundays. Other publications that may publish our news are industry newsletters published by American Public Power Association (APPA) and Northeast Public Power Association (NEPPA) and our website.
