The Mayflower Chapter of the Association of
Traditional Hooking Artists (ATHA) recently presented a rug to Reading
Municipal Light Department's (RMLD) Community Relations Assistant Bobbi
Maillett in appreciation of the use of the RMLD facility at 230 Ash Street
in Reading, where the group meets. Standing l-r are Steve DiFranza,
designer of the rug pattern, of North Reading, and members who brought his
design to life, Jeanne Fallier of Westford; Heidi Lee of Topsfield; Bobbi
Maillett (RMLD rep) of Boxford, Marcia Kent of Wilmington; Happy DiFranza of
North Reading; Alice Remare of Beverly; Virgina MacMillan of North Reading;
Joan Stocker of Kittery Point, Maine; Audrey Kish of South Hamilton and
Carla Johnson of North Reading. Missing from the photo are Diana
DeRoche of Hamilton; Jean Jones of Lynnfield; Mary Lacey of Paris, TN
(formerly of Westford); Gail Majauckas of West Newbury and Dorothy Woodle of
Groton.

Reading Municipal Light Department
(RMLD) Community Relations Assistant and Good Neighbor Energy Fund
(GNEF) Secretary Bobbi Maillett (sitting-left) and RMLD Community
Relations Manager Priscilla Gottwald (sitting-right) joined other
GNEF members at Salvation Army (SA) Headquarters in Boston on
January 27 to open thousands of donation envelopes from customers
from 20 utilities across the state who support the GNEF.
Helping in processing the checks are: (back row, l-r) SA Captain
Terry Shaffer; Concord Municipal Light Department’s Barbara Janowsky;
GNEF Chairman and Western Mass Electric’s Kate Agin; NSTAR’s Mary
Ellen Molloy; SA Major Betty Carter; National Grid’s Julie Wilcox;
and North Attleborough Electric’s Melissa Brastow. GNEF is a
cooperative effort between sponsoring Massachusetts energy
companies, The Salvation Army and caring neighbors throughout the
Commonwealth. The GNEF has raised over $12.6 million and
assisted nearly 62,500 families with a month's energy expense since
its inception in 1985.
